Sarah's Bridesmaids

Brooke Dunn Wesevich
Brooke Dunn Wesevich - Matron of Honor
The world recently celebrated over 20 YEARS of Sarah and Brooke as BFFs. Some say that Sarah and Brooke are the same person (who's to say?). Maybe because they have been together for almost everything: middle school emo concerts, violent high school art classes, becoming college roommates (Hook em Horns!), getting jobs in Dallas and moving 10 minutes away from each other, one million margaritas and shopping trips, and watching SO much reality TV. And most importantly, marrying our best friends (not each other unfortunately. Although we OFTEN consider it).
Frances Williamson
Frances Williamson - Maid of Honor
One does not simply walk into Mordor (Sarah's wedding party). First, you have to go to school dressed as Hobbits for some reason. Sarah and Frances have known each other since elementary school and have been best friends since deliriously writing poetry for a red panda at 2am on Frances's kitchen floor (a world champion poem btw!). Since then, it's been nothing but laughs, dog cuddles, rom coms, and general nonsense. Apart? Sarah and Frances are incredibly accomplished women in their fields (advanced degrees, published authors, the works!). Together? Not a single brain cell. Sarah wouldn't have it any other way.
Douglas Hagemeister
Douglas Hagemeister - Bridesmaid
Sarah and Doug have been best friends since Mrs. Trejo's 4th grade class and were each other's dates to every single school dance. Some of Sarah's favorite memories with Doug include watching trashy scary movies at the Bar le Doc house, trauma bonding in high school French class, our many Disney trips, one million orders of carmen pasta at Hester's, and our crafting fails preparing for DI competitions (shoutout Frances for carrying our team). Aside from being one of Sarah's favorite people in the world, Sarah has literally punched Doug in the face before and they are still best friends soooo yeah Doug deserves to be here.

Sam's Groomsmen

Michael Wesevich
Michael Wesevich - Best Man
Michael and Sam met in the college apartment of Brooke (featured above) and Sarah's apartment before they graduated from UT Austin. They bonded over a shared love of free food, good drinks, laughter, and forced time together due to their significant other's close friendship. Over the past several years, Michael and Sam have continued to strengthen their close relationship through good food, excellent drinks, better jokes, and still more time in close proximity because of their significant other's very close friendship.
Daniel Igrisan
Daniel Igrisan - Groomsman
Sam's favorite brother, Dan, has known Sam for as long as he's been alive - and every moment has been better than the last. He's a graduate from the University of Oklahoma and is notorious for having the best jokes in the family. Featured here as Commander Cody (right) from the Star Wars universe, Dan enjoys playing various video games like NBA 2K with friends, meal prepping, watching all kinds of sports, and has been known to put together a lego set or two. Sam promises that Dan is not just a part of the wedding party because he is family. It's because he genuinely loves him and wants him to be here. Just don't spend an extended trip in Ireland with him for too long.
Kai Harvey
Kai Harvey - Groomsman
Kai, is currently an undergraduate student at Texas A&M University. Kai and Sam have bonded quickly over the past several years - between hiking, barbecue, and many movies, they've come to be close friends.
Mason Benge
Mason Benge - Groomsman
A close high school friend of Sam's, Mason made the cut of groomsman despite the fact that he graduated from Texas A&M. Which, if you have been paying attention, makes two Aggies in Sam's groomsmen - two too many. Between way too many hours practicing their marching band shows, playing video games, and being nerds, their friendship has moved past the fact that he's an aggie. As someone who has visited Japan in the past, Sarah and Sam have been chatting with Mason about all the "must-do" experiences for their honeymoon.
Mason Embree
Mason Embree - Groomsman
Among the funniest people on the planet, but don't put him on the spot, Mason and Sam bonded while playing trumpets far too loudly in the hot Texas summer during high school. The two of them still routinely play video games with other close friends, and Sam probably receives 5 photos of Mason's dog, Socks, a week. Mason can play the guitar solo from Hotel California by the Eagles, but we're not letting him anywhere near the stage - don't worry.
Ryan Barton
Ryan Barton - Groomsman
Like Mason and Mason, Sam became close friends with Ryan during the hot days and long hours of Coppell High School marching band practice. Like Sarah and Sam, Ryan has two cats who we think love him as much as he loves them. From movies, carpools, video games, really good music, chess, and other excuses to hang out Ryan and Sam have been close friends for over 12 years.

Cats of Honor

Winston
Winston - Cat
Loves treats and snuggles, and is too smart for his own good. His only flaws are that he likes Sam more than Sarah and he WILL steal your food. Can't make it to the wedding, so we will honor him here.
Felix
Felix - Cat
Cat, but size extra large. Big tummy, bigger heart. Loudest purr in Dallas. Always damp for some reason. Can't make it to the wedding, so we will honor him here.
Maya
Maya - Cat
Small, but mighty (potentially part vampire). Maya lives in Corpus where she can spend time hunting rats and squirrels in the backyard and snuggling with her favorite person, Sarah's Dad. Can't make it to the wedding, so we will honor her here.
